Black Methodists for Church Renewal

Throughout its fifty year history, Black Methodists for Church Renewal, Inc. (BMCR) has remained faithful to its goal to ensure a place at the table for its constituents and to keep before the Church the issues of economic and social justice. As the organization looks toward its future, BMCR is embracing its rich legacy, continuing to empower leaders to effectively serve the Church, and address inequities in our communities.

In partnership with GCFA's United Methodist Church Development Center, BMCR is engaged in developing and implementing fundraising strategies to bolster and expand support for the organization.  Local congregations and individuals are asked to join the fund development effort by contributing yearly financial gifts and making a planned gift through financial or estate plans.  This commitment to leadership development, advocacy, inclusiveness and justice will continue to strengthen the value of diversity in the United Methodist Church.
